It was during Call of Duty: Next on September 15, 2022 that Activision and Infinity Ward revealed a lot of information, as well as a new trailer, about the multiplayer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Feature Overview
First, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer will feature various game modes, including Neutralization, Prisoner Release and Invasion (Ground War), in addition to Team Deathmatch and Domination. In addition, via this new opus, players will have access to two types of multiplayer maps : combat cards (32 vs 32) and base cards (6 vs 6).
In addition, in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 we will have the possibility of changing perspective, adopting a third person viewin certain game modes. But also to hear our opponents, thanks to the proximity cat.
Activision and Infinity Ward also reviewed the gameplay and decided to introduce new moves : it will be possible to carry out confrontations under water, to hang from an obstacle to have an overview and shoot at our opponents or even to dive in order to quickly take shelter.
Several vehicles are also planned on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: helicopter (light or heavy), tanks, SUV, rigid inflatable boat, and many others, will be there and will allow everyone to move faster. However, be aware that these vehicles can be destroyed, slowed down or neutralized by opponents.
Obviously, we will be able to count on new combat improvements, tactical/lethal equipment and perks. Without forgetting, new weapons that it will be possible to personalize with various accessories, via the Gunsmith 2.0.
Remember that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is due to arrive on October 28, in several editions, on PlayStation, Xbox and PC consoles.
