A campaign with small onions

Following the events of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019, for this Modern Warfare 2, the developers at Infinity Ward have seen things big. In addition to having reworked the sound design with no less than 100,000 different sounds, we’re going to have the pleasure of seeing Captain Price and Task Force 141 across several continents and in live settings and environments. Indeed, in Modern Warfare 2, players will have the possibility in Story mode to play with the scenery, so that it is much more realistic and the immersion is absolutely total.

Moreover, with regard to the cast, we will find well-known heads: Captain Price, Sergeant Kyle Gaz Garrick, Sergeant Soap MacTavish, Ghost, and finally Colonel Alejandro Vargas of the Mexican special forces. However, other names have circulated, and according to some rumors, we should also find Rya Khilstedt in the role of Laswell, Claudia Doumit in that of Farah Karim, and finally the actor Warren Kole even if his character remains at the current time unknown.

After a first trailer unveiled on June 8, it’s now the turn of the gameplay of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign to show itself on video during the Summer Game Fest 2022. It’s time for us to take stock of what we have seen!

All Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Modes

Besides the campaign of Modern Warfare 2, we will obviously have Multiplayer which will allow us to have fun through several modes, some of which are new.

Among them, we will obviously find the famous Team Deathmatch (MME) with several maps such as Farm 18 or that of Mercado Las Almas in 6v6.

Furthermore, we were also able to discover Rescue of Prisoners during the beta, and here we are dealing with a CS-like mode with two hostages to save. To do this, one team must escort them to a point so that they are safe, while the opposing team must prevent the rescues from taking place. Here, no respawn, but players can revive dead teammates.

On top of that, we also have a brand new mode called Raids and inspired by none other than Destiny 2. Through it, players will have objectives to complete against the AI, but also puzzles to solve. Cohesion will therefore be required, a bit like in Special Operations which will also make a comeback To our delight.

Also, we will have the right in KO mode, a brand new mode in which players will have to keep a package at all costs and prevent enemies from taking it. For this, everything is allowed: kill, traps, strategy… Finally, we will have the other usual modes like Domination, Search and Destroy, Hardpoint, but also Ground War.

Finally, and for the first time, in addition to all this, we will have the possibility of playing it with another view, through 3rd person modeand that’s great, even if the beginnings can be complicated.

For our greatest pleasure, Call of Duty Next took place this Thursday, September 15 and we were finally able to discover the famous Multiplayer mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Here is all the information you need to know about it. There were a few surprises!

Weapons, equipment and perks

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will welcome a whole range of weapons with a new customization system, and we were able to get our hands on some of them during the different beta phases that took place a few days ago: M4, M16, Lachmamn-556, Lachmann Sub, Lachmann-762, FTAC Recon, FSS Hurricane, 556 Icarus, RAPP H, LM-S, MP5, Expedier 12, Signal 50, Kastov 740, X12, Fennec 45, TAQ-56 , Lockwood MK2, X13 automatic, Sakin MG38, PILA, JOKR.

Re equipment and more particularly field improvementsmany gadgets will also be available: tactical camera, inflatable lure, drilling charge, DDOS, but also the usual equipment that we all know like the drone jammer, the drone, or even Silence de Mort (which becomes beautiful and a land improvement).

Finally, for this Call of Duty, a big change has taken place regarding perks, and if at the time of writing we don’t know if the system will be definitive or not (following numerous complaints during the beta), the assets will be in the form of “packages”. That is to say, they will all be grouped in groups of 4, and especially according to the style of gameplay adopted by the player: the Assailant deck which holds Overkill, Raider, Quick hand and determination, the Specter deck which holds Hardened in combat, Race Step, Cold Blood and Ghost, the Hunter deck which includes Big Arms, Tracker, Observer and Overclock, the Eagle Eye deck which offers Overarm, Big Arms, Rapid Regeneration, and Maximum Alert, the Support deck which includes Minesweeper, Battle Hardened, Supply and Survivor, and finally the Sniper deck which has Running Step, Extra Tactical, Concentration and Eagle Eye.
