Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: Sarah Schachner stops composing for the game, cites conflict with audio director

Sarah Schachnerone of the most fashionable composers of the moment and who has precisely signed several pieces of this episode, announces its withdrawal from the project in more or less stormy circumstances.

A big disagreement with the audio director?

In response to several fans asking her when the soundtrack would be available on legal platforms, Sarah Schachner released a statement in which she announces to stop her work on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as well as on top Warzone following a disagreement with the game’s audio director, Stephen Millerwhich she never names directly:

” Over the past two months the dynamic of working with the audio director has become more and more difficult and I see no way to continue. For now, I’m uncertain about the release and the plans around this soundtrack that was taken from me. »

She then indicates that if the tracks present in the game represent her work, she cannot say the same for the arrangements that will be made when the soundtrack is released separately. Sarah Schachner says she has worked with Mike Dean, a prominent producer in the music business, on things that ” we will never hear ».

A situation reminiscent of that of Mick Gordon with Doom Eternal, which did not have the hand concerning the mixing of the tracks released in the soundtrack on the streaming platforms. When you see the OST of the last call of duty on these same platforms, you will now know that Sarah Schachner had no say in the arrangements chosen, which is very unfortunate.
