Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is revealed in a first trailer

As announced last July, the campaign for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will indeed be the direct sequel to the opus released last year. A confirmation that took place last night on the occasion of the event organized by Activision and which was accompanied by a first trailer of the game.

But direct sequel does not mean that there are no new features planned. The classic campaign missions will thus be accompanied by open combat missions. The latter will offer more tactical choices to carry out the missions. It will thus be possible to choose stealthy approaches, in particular with night vision goggles. Or on the contrary to opt for frontal attacks all in explosions.

Regarding multiplayer, players will be able to find, at launch, 16 Modern Warfare 2 maps, fully modernized. Beyond the improved graphics side, they will of course support all new gameplay, modes and content. Next will come 12 new 6v6 maps that will fuel the title through the seasons after launch. Modern Warfare 3 will also feature new Ground War maps and the return of War Mode.

And for fans of fighting against the living dead, the Zombies mode returns and even promises to offer the largest Zombies map ever created. To overcome the massive hordes of undead, it will be possible to team up with other squads. An alliance necessary to hope to survive.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set for November 10 and will be available on PC via Steam and Battle.net as well as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. Note that in addition to the Standard Edition, a Weapon Chest Edition including in-game benefits will also be available.
