Call of Duty Vanguard game news: ranked mode planned for season 2?

Game news Call of Duty Vanguard: ranked mode planned for season 2?

Almost two months after its release, Call of Duty Vanguard still lacks a competitive ranked mode. The wait should soon come to an end, however, as an insider talks about a launch for season 2 of the game.

Last October, Treyarch announcement work in conjunction with Sledgehammer Games on competitive modes with a system of divisions and special rewards for Call of Duty: Vanguard. It was then specified that the whole would land in 2022. No specific date has been announced since, but it could be relatively close.

When will Call of Duty Vanguard ranked mode release?

According to TheMW2Ghost, a famous Call of Duty license leaker, Vanguard’s Ranked Mode (known as League Mode) could arrive in Season 2. Given that the battle pass for season 1 will expire on February 1, we can assume that this second season will be launched in early February 2022, and that the competitive features will land at the same time.

We will of course have to wait for an official announcement from the developers to be sure, but an arrival in February is rather realistic knowing that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War had also hosted its ranked mode in February.

As a reminder, season 1 of Call of Duty Vanguard landed at the beginning of December, bringing with it new maps (Paradise, Radar …) and weapons (Cooper rifle, Gorenko anti-tank rifle, Sawtooth … ) as well as Operators Francis, Isabella and Lewis. For its part, the battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone was entitled to a brand new map called Caldera.
