This Thursday, November 10, Activision finally said more about Warzone 2.0, the brand new Battle Royale of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. We know for example that players will be able to compete in the city of Al-Mazrah, the very first map of Warzone 2.0. Some places in this huge area are already known to players, since some multiplayer maps like Al Bagra Fortress, Embassy or Taraq and Sa’id are part of it.

Activision says more about Warzone 2.0

This Warzone 2.0 will include a size change: the presence of fighters managed by the AI. Players will be able to encounter these bots in two specific locations on the map: Strongholds and Black Sites. Within the Strongholds, players will have to defeat AIs while locating and disarming a bomb within the imposed time limit.

As for the Black Sites, the danger will be even greater. But as a reward, players will be able to obtain a permanent weapon blueprint as well as objects to use during their game such as a drone or a bombardment for example. We also know that the shrinkage of the zone will also be modified. In Battle Royale modes, there may be up to three circleswhich will eventually converge on each other to form the final confrontation zone.

As of now, we don’t yet know the requirements on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and PS5. But there’s a good chance it’s a similar weight. With a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 that already exceeds 120 GB (with Solo, cooperation and multiplayer installed), the total experience (COD MW2 and Warzone 2.0) will therefore exceed 235 GB…
