Available since November 16 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC (via Steam and Battle.net), Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 players have been looking forward to landing Al Mazrah (despite the many dark spots of Infinity Ward’s Battle Royale) if the latest figures shared by the studio are to be believed. During the first five days, the players were indeed millions to fight through the huge map to the delight of the developers..
Warzone 2.0 is already recording a strong player performance
It is indeed through social networks that the good news has fallen: Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 players were no less than 25 million to find themselves through the POIs of Al Mazrah, and this during the first 5 days following the release of the Battle Royalewhich is an excellent performance.
At the time of writing, this is the biggest launch for a Battle Royale, and for comparison, Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera has brought together no less than 100 million players since its launch, while the giant Fortnite has recorded 350 million players with a figure that is constantly increasing.
A bright future for Warzone 2.0?
Quite frankly, things aren’t going to stop there for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, far from it. Even if the Battle Royale has a lot of flaws such as: the loot system which is not really intuitive and which is buggy, or even certain weapons which are not really well optimized yet, it nevertheless promises a bright future.
It must be said thate for this new Battle Royale, the novelties are clearly in the game with in particular new mechanics: that of swimming which therefore allows you to find yourself in the water without dying, but also and above all to fight in the water, or the proximity chat which offers real moments of stress and/or or laughs at the players. On the other hand, if the loot system has some problems, it has been completely reviewed by the developers so that players are more free in their choices, such as favoring stuff with full killstreaks or, on the contrary, stuff with a lot healing and grenades (this is just an example).
In addition, the gulag has also been reviewed. Now, players find themselves in 2v2 to hope to be able to return to the game, and if they wish, they can all ally against the jailer and thus achieve victory for absolutely everyone. And finally, we also have a totally new mode which is therefore DMZ. Through it, objectives to complete with certain items to recover that will help us later.
In the coming weeks we will also have new seasons, as was the case with Warzone first of the name and the titles with which it was linked. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, it’s hard to know what the developers have in store for us, but we can expect something heavy.
Available since November 16, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is now available to all players around the world and for the occasion, the Battle Royale store has opened its doors with a few bundles. But unfortunately, it was without counting on the bugs of skins…
