Since August 24, Call of Duty: Warzone players have welcomed Season 5 Last Stand, a season that will conclude not only the Battle Royale, but also Sledgehammer Games’ FPS, Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Nevertheless, despite the end of Warzone, we will have the right in the coming weeks to a brand new Battle Royale through of course Call of Duty: Warzone 2. Unfortunately, at the time of writing these lines, it’s all just rumors and speculation, but on September 15, we will be able to witness the latter’s revelation, finally! Don’t want to wait 15 days to find out more? No problem, we have enough to feed your curiosity through some fairly serious new information that reportsa much more violent game than Warzone first of the name.
Warzone 2 would not do in lace!
If all the information we have had so far has not yet been made official by Infinity Ward, the following is more than concrete sinceit comes to us directly from the ESRBthe American organization responsible for classifying the various video games on several criteria.
Thereby, according to the ESRBCall of Duty: Warzone 2 will be ranked in “Mature +17” in the United States, which is equivalent to a PEGI 18 at home in France, so far, nothing really surprising. Where things get more interesting is that we have confirmed the existence of DMZ which therefore seems to be indeed real, and still according to the ESRB, this mode would be more violent than ever, both graphically and verbally.
Here, unlike Call of Duty: Warzone, we should be dealing with a much more realistic Battle Royale in horror, with skull explosions following shotgun fire, beheadings, or even dismemberments caused by grenade explosions.
If that hasn’t been signified or specified, it’s unclear if DMZ will be part of Call of Duty: Warzone 2, or if it will be integrated into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The line between the two seems quasi non-existent, but we will know more on the date of September 15, when we will witness the reveal of the FPS Multiplayer, and the reveal of Warzone 2 as well as Warzone Mobile.
