Already available on PC, Xbox and playstation, Call of the Sea arrived in 2020 and was then nominated in the category “Best immersive game” in order to receive a BAFTA. Here now and against all odds that this one is about to go out Meta Quest 2.
Set in the 1930s, the title tells the story of Norah Everhart. We find her investigating the disappearance of her husband Harrywho vanished while searching for a cure for his wife’s mysterious family illness. Only having the photo of her husband and the coordinates of the island, norah embarks on an “otherworldly story of love and mystery”, which takes him to a South Pacific island near Otaheite (Tahiti). This story-driven adventure does not feature combat. The progression of the story based mainly on the resolution of puzzles.
The developer Out of the Blue and the editor Raw Fury haven’t confirmed much else about the adaptation VR of Call of the Sea. However, they announced that further details would be revealed during the Raindance Festival 2022which will take place from October 26 to November 5. Attendees at the show will be able to try out a “Raindance-exclusive” closed alpha demo.
Always know that Call of the Sea VR will launch in 2023 on Meta Quest 2 and the price is not yet known.
