Call of the Wild: The Angler, a new fishing game announced on PC and consoles


Not very popular with the general public and yet not so niche, fishing games continue to flow into the world of video games. If Dovetail Games is known for its adaptations, like Fishing Sim World and bassmasteranother studio is trying its luck in the field: the little guys from Expansive Worlds just announced Call of the Wild: The Angler, an open-world fishing game coming later this year.

Answer the call of fishing

If the name of the game resonates with you, it is not totally a coincidence since the developers are known to have developed a certain theHunter: Call of the Wild released a few years ago. After the hunt, the studio focuses on the discipline of fishing with Call of the Wild: The Angler which will allow us to explore several environments and search for the best corner to find fish.

Very simulation-oriented, the title is primarily aimed at fishing enthusiasts and will offer a open world that we can fully cover, alone or with relatives since the adventure will be playable online for up to twelve people. You will have to choose your equipment, travel the regions in search of the best spot and of course, try to have the best catch.

No release date yet for the title, but we know that it will arrive by the end of 2022. As for the platforms, Call of the Wild: The Angler is planned on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store but also on consoles, without precision on the latter.
