A terrible fire broke out in his home without his knowledge. The firefighter tried to save his family, but the outcome of the incident is dramatic.
His wife and three children died one after the other the day after the fire. It is an unspeakable drama that this family man and firefighter from Chicago lived. He was called in to respond to a house fire in the city of Chicago. Little did he know he was on his way to his own home where his wife and children were perishing in the flames. Walter Stewartt was in service on March 7, 2023, reports RMC Crime quoting the CBS News. The firefighter realized, as he got closer to the scene of the incident, that it was in fact his house.
The firefighter rushed totrying to save his family. His wife and three children were inside the house. He began to resuscitate his wife reports RMC Crime. Only she and the children were all in critical condition and had to be evacuated. The firefighter’s nightmare was not yet at its epilogue since he will live the day after worst-case scenario fire that a father or mother can imagine living.
Her 7-year-old son dies first
The day after the fire, the series of dramatic deaths begins with her 7-year-old son. The next day, the firefighter’s 36-year-old wife also died. The third day, the firefighter had to deal with the death of these two children aged 9 and 2. The autopsy revealed that the cause of the multiple deaths of the family of this Chicago firefighter is the inhalation of smoke. “Every member of the section mourns with our brother Walter and the Stewart family. This tragedy weighs heavily on our hearts and we pledge our continued support.“Chicago City Fire Department said.
