Original article from January 17 at 4:43 p.m.:
Emergency call centers are difficult to contact at the end of the afternoon. A breakdown on the side of their operator Orange is responsible for this.
Contacting the emergency services is complicated at this time.
Orange said on its Twitter account that: “ Fixed and mobile calls to emergency services (15, 18, 112) are severely disrupted throughout France “. The telephone operator invites people who wish to contact the emergency services to repeat their calls.
The services impacted are respectively the SAMU, the fire brigade and the European emergency service.

In a second tweet, the company obviously says that it is fully mobilized to correct these problems as soon as possible. To still contact emergency services in the best conditions, some departmental SAMU services and firefighters have set up alternative telephone numbers. They are communicated on the social networks of the said services and relayed by the local press.
