Known for his emblematic songs, Calogero changes course and opens up to a reality that affects too many young people today: school bullying. But the artist doesn’t just sing, he acts, since he is in the cast of a poignant TV movie on the subject. It is Breathea production of M6, inspired by the true story of the artist Tessæ. The film will be broadcast on September 12, 2023 on the sixth channel, but is already being talked about. In an interview at TV Magazinethe singer explained why he embarked on this project without an ounce of hesitation: “He woke up things in me, who was also failing at school”, he revealed. For the interpreter ofin weightlessnessthe problems appeared in primary school: “The day a teacher gave me a violent pair of slaps because I didn’t dot the ‘i’s! Maybe that’s why I failed all my schooling”added the companion of Marie Bastide.

But that was not all: in his schooling, he was also the victim of violence from his comrades: “Not to mention the harassment and violence. The Pablo-Picasso college, in Échirolles, was an establishment with difficult cases. Got my ass kicked twice“, he confided to our colleagues. A reality that still affects too many young people today. Naturally, the singer was therefore very invested in this new status as an actor. In this poignant TV movie, Calogero plays the role of a music teacher who helps his young student, played by the former candidate of The Voice Kids Charlie Loiselier, to overcome the challenges of school bullying. A mirror of the story of Tessæ, who knew how to rebuild herself thanks to music, as she tells in her book Touch the walls. A telefilm which will therefore bring hope to all victims of school bullying, and which may perhaps be able to raise awareness of this still invisible evil.
