It is beauty that Calogero closed its three scheduled dates in the hall of L’Européen in Paris. This Friday, June 10, for the last concert he gave in the capital before ensuring dates in Belgium and in festivals, the interpreter of‘weightless set the stage on fire under the admiring eyes of his fans, including those closest to him. His eldest daughters, Nina, 18, and Romy, born in 2006 (who accompanied her dad on the piano), from his marriage to Hortense d’Esteve. If the parents are no longer together, they nonetheless remained on good terms since, as proven by the stories posted by Isabelle Funaro, also present at the concert, Hortense was also there to support her ex-husband.
In the images (see slideshow), Hortense took her place next to her daughter Nina. With a smile on her face, we can see her singing the song I play music. The evening did not stop there for the clan. The small family, including Calogero, then found themselves at the restaurant, a dinner during which Nina and her mother shared a wild dance, always immortalized by Isabelle Funaro.
Rare are the couples to maintain good relations when the time comes for the separation. Especially when children are involved. However, Calogero and Hortense succeeded in this challenge despite the pain. In 2009, his album Embellished was largely inspired by his divorce: “It’s an album talking about the post-breakup, about a desire to move forward, after a storm of life. I experienced something banal, a separation after seven years of life as a couple and two daughters. This record was therapy“, confided Calogero to the Parisian.
It is therefore always hand in hand but in all honor and with respect and love that Hortense and Calogero continue to rub shoulders. Moreover, the page has indeed been turned since the 50-year-old singer has rebuilt his life with Marie Bastide, a lyricist with whom he also had two children: Pio, born in 2013 and Rita, born in 2016. Marie Bastide him even wrote the title One day in the wrong place. There’s no doubt: between them, it’s the melody of happiness.
