Calvin Harris: DJ before mega deal in Las Vegas

Calvin Harris, 40, has just celebrated his big birthday, and now there is apparently another reason to be happy: According to reports, the British DJ will sign a mega contract for a new show in Las Vegas. He is said to receive a salary of 1.4 million euros per evening.

First appearance in February?

It is said that Taylor Swift’s ex, 34, is scheduled to give six concerts in the LIV club of the new luxury hotel “The Fontainebleau”. A source told The Sun: “Calvin is a legend on the Strip and he has helped make Las Vegas clubs the place to be. LIV is booking him for six major headline slots and tried to negotiate more.” Even the start date has already been set – and it’s not long away: “The plan is to schedule its first big evening on the weekend when the Super Bowl comes to town on February 11th.”

Calvin Harris would be returning to the gaming metropolis, where he warmed up the guests at Caesars Palace from 2013 to 2020. At some point, however, the Scottish native felt his creativity was limited by the commitment, which also cost millions. He told The Sun: “I was there playing at least every week. It got to the point where I was there a little too much. I got tired of it.” As a result, he no longer had time for new projects: “I didn’t make any songs for a year or maybe a year and a half.”

In the business for 17 years

In 2007, Harris released his debut album “I Created Disco”. He is now the highest paid DJ in the world. It’s not just his hits like “Ready For The Weekend” that are causing a stir. He also made headlines with his changing partners. For example, he was in a relationship with singer Rita Ora, 33, from May 2013 to June 2014 before starting a relationship with Taylor Swift. The musicians announced their end of love in the summer of 2016. Seven years later he married the British radio presenter Vick Hope, 34.
