Operation seduction in Phnom Penh. The Cambodian capital welcomed a hundred French companies and potential investors last week to unveil its new face: that of an Asian capital in full development, teeming with opportunities.
“Our objective is to show that Cambodia is an increasingly mature market, where a French company can easily establish itself to grow locally or shine on the regional market”explains Soreasmey Ke Bin, president of the local chamber of commerce (CCI), co-organizer of the France-Cambodia business forum.
Often the victim of a negative image, conveyed by the bloodthirsty regime of the Khmer Rouge and thirty years of civil war, Cambodia is now trying to weigh against its Thai and Vietnamese neighbors.
