Came from Germany – thief “grazed” several construction sites on the Autobahn

Pretty bold. A Croatian (48) living in Germany drove several times to construction sites on the Pyhrnautobahn to steal diesel and objects there. Now the man flew up.

Between October 2022 and the beginning of January 2023, the 48-year-old Croatian national from Germany drove his vehicle and trailer several times at night to motorway construction sites on the Pyhrnautobahn in Upper Austria and Styria. He broke the closures on a total of three parked construction vehicles and a construction site tank and then pumped out a total of around 1500 liters of diesel fuel with a tapping device installed on the truck Concrete formwork elements and a truck roll container, for which an acquaintance offered him a four-digit sum of money. On this trip he had loaded a construction site tank system with a 1000 liter tank and several excavator accessories that had previously been stolen from a construction site in Dingolfing (D). After securing the stolen items, the 48-year-old was taken to the Garsten prison by order of the Steyr public prosecutor.
