With Camera One you can stream the camera feed from your phone camera live to a WearOS watch and even trigger it. We’ll show you how to use the app on your smartwatch.
- Camera One supports all smartwatches running WearOS, including Samsung’s Galaxy Watch and Google’s Pixel Watch.
- The feed from your smartphone camera is transmitted live to your watch.
- You can even switch camera modes, adjust zoom, and more.
It’s good to have a shutter button for the smartphone camera in case you take a tripod photo from a distance, for example. It’s even better if this trigger can show you a preview of your camera feed. This is exactly what the Camera One app, which is supported by almost all WearOS smartwatches (Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and 5 and Google Pixel Watch), is used for. In this text we will tell you how the app works.
How to use your smartwatch with Camera One as a trigger
To use the app, you simply have to download it from the Playstore on both devices – i.e. on your smartphone and on the watch. Open the app and go through the short setup process by granting all the necessary permissions. After that you can use the app immediately. The camera app does not have to be open on your smartphone for this.
Opens the app on the smartwatch. The image from your camera will now be transferred to the smartwatch. You can take a photo with a click of the camera icon, and you can zoom in or out with a turn of the bezel or crown.
