As “People” reported, Camila was friends with ex Shawn Mendes for several years until they made their love public in 2019. In November 2021, they then announced their separation via Instagram. “Hey guys, we have decided to end our romantic relationship, but our love for each other as people is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and we will continue to be best friends. We know your support in the beginning and very much appreciated in the future, too,” the joint statement said.
