Canada Carbon Completes Large 3,005 Meter Drilling Program on Miller Property

Mississauga, ON, Canada, Jan 10, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Canada Carbon (TSX-V: CCB) is pleased to announce that it has completed an extensive drilling program on its Miller graphite property (“the Miller Project”), located in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, Quebec (“GSLR”). The drilling was carried out from November 28, 2021 (see the press release of December 9, 2021) to December 21, 2021.

The Company has completed 3,005m of drilling in 32 holes (see Figure 1) varying in depth between 30 and 178 meters. The footage makes this program the largest drilling campaign to date on the Miller property. Drilling was carried out by Downing Drilling of Calumet in the GSLR area. SL Exploration Inc., Acton Vale, provided the geologists and technicians to carry out the program. Drill core cutting and sampling is expected to be completed in January 2022. Typically, samples are taken at 1.5 meter intervals throughout the ore core and will be analyzed for graphitic carbon content ( Cg) by an independent laboratory.

After the analysis, the results will be used to update the Miller property’s resource statement and to provide additional information to the CPTAQ regarding the future location of the pits and their specific impact on the environment. The information will also be used throughout the authorization stage of the Miller project, including the authorization process for the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MELCC), the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (MERN) and during the consultation process with the citizens of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge (GSLR) and the MRC d’Argenteuil.

Managing Director and Director Ellerton Castor said: “This is an important milestone for the company and we look forward to the results of the ongoing analysis. We expect an expanded resource to improve the economics of the Miller deposit, facilitate our current efforts with certain regulatory bodies, and continue to inform and shape the Company’s marketing strategy. “

QA / QC

The drilling program focused on better definition and better connection of the zone located between the two high-grade zones of the project (VN3 zone to the west and VN6 zone to the east). About 10% of the samples were inserted into the analyzes by the company. QC / QC samples consist of 2% blank samples, 3% standard samples, and 5% duplicate samples divided into quarters, for a total of 10% QC / QC. The drill core samples were prepared by dividing the ore core in half at 1.5m intervals, while the high grade mineralization was sampled separately to better identify its grade.
