Then, you will meet Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg as incompetent cops, but very, very funny in Very Bad Cops. The trip will end with a gigantic tree-monster, adept at challenging a very imaginative boy in the overwhelming A few minutes after midnight.
Yellowjackets on Canal+
Released at the beginning of the year on Canal+, Yellowjackets is probably one of the best series of recent months. Inspired by the classic His Majesty of the Flies, this story pits us against a women’s football team trapped in the Canadian forest after a plane crash. Abandoned to their fate, the young women will have to organize themselves to survive. In parallel, we follow the survivors of this survivalist stay 20 years after the events, while a mysterious character threatens to reveal what really happened in the woods. Carried by an impeccable cast, this Showtime series amazes especially by its fragmented, but captivating narration, and its tone constantly oscillating between the agonizing ambient tension and a dark humor as grating as saving. A clear success of which season 2 is already on track.
Very Bad Cops on Netflix
As often, the French translation of comedy titles shows his taste for the off-topic. Released in full fashion very bad trip, Very Bad Cops has little to do with Todd Philips comedy. As its original title The Other Guys indicates, it is rather a parody of buddy movie typical policeman The lethal Weapon, but where the two cops are incompetent and ridiculous. A solid comedy also directed by Adam McKay, who has since converted into films that are a little more serious, but just as interesting as The Big Short, Vice Where Don’t Look Up. Attention, Very Bad Cops will disappear from Netflix at the end of June.
A few minutes after midnight on Prime Video
Change of register with this feature film directed by the Spaniard Juan Antonio Bayona – who will also be in charge of the staging on the series The Lord of the Rings from Prime Video. We follow Connor, a boy tormented by his mother’s illness, an authoritarian grandmother and school friends with stalking tendencies. To escape this sinister reality, he escapes into an imaginary world where a monstrous creature will serve as his guide.
