Canal+ news: films, series and documentaries to watch in streaming in April 2023

In April, the French Canal+ and its myCanal platform did not have to blush in the face of the American behemoths Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video. Several quality films, series and documentaries join the already well-stocked catalog of the streaming service.

Before listing the new products for April 2023, here are our favorites of the month as usual.

What new Canal+ films and series in April 2023?

The Canal+ series of the month: Audrey came back

Seventeen-year-old Audrey is found unconscious on a country road. Sixteen years later, she wakes up, almost miraculously, from the long and deep coma in which she was immersed. Everything has changed around her, her entourage too. Audrey must then relearn everything, to eat, walk, speak… and to live in a time that is foreign to her and that she does not understand. As a teenager in an adult body, the young woman must also reclaim her body. His memory comes back to him in snatches, even if the memory of the night of the accident still escapes him.

This Canadian series, created by the duo Guillaume Lambert and Florence Longpré (who embodies the main role) is a real breath of fresh air, a marvel of originality and a clever mix of drama and absurd comedy, as the make our Quebec friends. Not to be missed. Composed of ten episodes, Audrey came back is broadcast from April 13 on Canal+ and on the myCanal platform.

The Canal+ film of the month: November

On November 13, 2015, several attacks hit Paris. There is panic and the human losses are dramatic. The anti-terrorist sub-directorate, headed by Héloïse and her right-hand man Fred, is facing an unprecedented situation. You have to put the emotional at a distance, analyze the chaos of the clues, act quickly to apprehend the fleeing terrorists as quickly as possible. The team will also have to agree on the methods to be used to achieve this.

Director Cedric Jimenez (North ferry) brings to the screen the still vivid French trauma of November 13 and the attack on the Bataclan, in a choral and poignant drama where points of view collide with mastery. A breathless race against the clock, served by a talented cast (Jean Dujardin, Anaïs Demoustier, Sandrine Kiberlain…) who put a human face on the figures in the shadows working for the security of the country. From April 7 on Canal+ and the myCanal streaming platform.
