Important in advance: Ordinary or extraordinary termination?
On its own website, AXA recommends contacting a consultant before terminating the contract. This is primarily for customer retention – you still have to cancel your contract submit in writing. It is therefore advisable to terminate the insurance contract yourself. Here you have two options:
- You can take out the insurance contract with AXA properly terminate. This is the “normal” termination. Ordinary termination means that you terminate the contract in due time at the end of the contract period quits. The notice period depends on your specific contract. So take the deadline from your documents. By logging into the “My AXA” customer portal, you will find your personal contract management and can view the relevant contract details and notice periods.
- In the event of a premium increase, you have a special right of termination. You usually have one month to submit your notice of termination. You will also receive more detailed information in the letter notifying you of the increase. In the event of an extraordinary termination, the reason for termination always be specified explicitly.
How can I cancel at AXA?
You have various options for terminating your insurance relationship with AXA. In any case, you should keep the following things in mind when writing the resignation letter:
- Give your full names and current address on.
- name yours insurance number and the exact one insurance designation.
- Besides, you give it intended termination date and/or termination as soon as possible.
- In the case of an extraordinary termination, you state a reason for termination (not necessary in the case of ordinary termination).
- Ask for one written confirmation of your cancellation.
Cancel AXA insurance by post
