After Portrait of the young girl on fire in 2019 and La Fracture in 2021, two films were distinguished among the 17 feature films and 12 short films in the running:
Joyland’s pitch: Lahore, Haider and his wife, live with his brother’s entire family. In this house where everyone lives under the gaze of others, Haider is asked to find a job and become a father. The day he finds a small job in a cabaret, he falls under the spell of Biba, a sensual and magnetic dancer.
