Every year, the Cannes Film Festival returns to brighten up the Croisette. While some actors come alone, others surround themselves with their families to walk the red carpet. Back in pictures.
In 76 editions, Cannes festival saw a host of celebrities. Coming from all over the world, they all came to represent or support a film in competition. Very often, the ascent of the steps is an initiation rite. A necessary passage to enter the great family of cinema. And it was precisely these family values that reigned supreme throughout the week.
Which families were present at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival?
From the opening ceremony, Catherine Deneuve and Chiara Mastroianni set the tone. Mother and daughter opened the festivities. Then Michael Douglas followed in their footsteps, accompanied by his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and their daughter to recover the Palme d’honneur for his fifty-five-year career. A few hours later, it was Uma Thurman who proudly posed alongside her son on the red carpet. Pride is also what we could read in the eyes of Michele Laroque. The actress climbed the steps of the festival alongside her daughter Oriane. The two were more complicit than ever. The 18 but it’s Anna Biolay, Benjamin Biolay’s daughter and Chiara Mastroianni who took her first steps on the red carpet. Following this appearance, the young actress suffered a round of criticism against her. His father was quick to let it be known that he would not stop there. In a more relaxed atmosphere, Caroline of Monaco also made the trip with the family.
