In the middle of January we’re in our winter blues, cheating in sweatpants to go shopping and basically just alternating between two boring sweaters. That’s over now: we’ll show you how you can spice up your winter wardrobe.

After Christmas and New Year’s Eve comes the winter blues: we were just enjoying curling up on the couch, now we’re longing for summer and rising temperatures again. The winter jumpers we’ve been looking forward to all year are hanging in the closet – and somehow we keep putting on the same ones. This can be done better!

Bye, bye, dull winter clothes

Whether new trend pieces or timeless classics: At the start of the new year, our wardrobe deserves an upgrade and new styling ideas. We have seven ideas, it-pieces and new tricks that you can use to make your winter outfits more exciting.

Blankets to go – the XXL scarf

When it gets cold outside, one must not be missing: Of course, our favorite scarf! This winter we score with the XXL version. The rule is: the bigger, the better. For an extra style kick, the XXL scarf can also come in bright colors. This makes it a statement piece and you can upgrade a simple outfit in no time at all.

Put it on – we’ll tuck our trousers into our boots now

We’ve known for a long time that rough boots are an absolute trend. But where to go with longer trouser legs? Quite simply: put your boots on! If you’ve managed to fold your trouser legs around your boots in an elegant shape by now, that’s the end of it. Not only is it super easy, but it also looks pretty casual and cool. Win win!

Layer by layer – the vest

Would you like a bit of outdoor chic? Quilted waistcoats (also “gilets”) are very trendy. And with good reason: With just one piece of clothing, your whole outfit will be (more) stylish! With a vest you can take the classic layered look to a new level. The it-piece of the season looks good over cardigans, pullovers or coats – long or short.

Make your clothes winter-proof – the satin skirt

Our much-loved satin skirts now provide a bit of variety in your winter wardrobe. Not only are they an absolute styling all-rounder in summer, they can also be worn in the colder months with warm sweaters, elegant coats and boots. The mix of materials determines the outfit here: It gets exciting when you style satin with wool, (fake) leather or cashmere.

All my stripes – the French it-piece

Hardly any item is experiencing such a big revival this winter as the striped sweater. As a symbol of French chic, it should not be missing in any wardrobe. It doesn’t always have to be just the black stripes on a white background: Colored alternatives in brown, red or blue bring more variety to your wardrobe – and can be styled just as timelessly as the classic.

With this combination you are always well dressed

There is: The universal formula for a successful outfit! And it is very simple and lives above all from a contrast. Simply combine a high-waisted turtleneck sweater with elegant trousers – and you’re done! It is important that the knitted piece is loosely cut, while the trousers are more fitted. There are no limits to your creativity when it comes to colors and materials: It doesn’t matter whether you mix a pattern or tone on tone, everything is allowed!

Ouh là là, we show skin – the cardigan

Any bet; a representative of this garment hangs in every wardrobe – no wonder, after all, the cardigan has been a cozy companion in our everyday life for years. Now the complementary part becomes the main protagonist of our outfit! For a special twist, we leave out the top or t-shirt underneath the cardigan and show a little more skin. Just enough to make it particularly exciting. And wonderfully simple!
