Capcom: Even more profits with 6.1 million for RE Village, and several big titles to come this year

Financial reports have been raining for a few days, and allow publishers and manufacturers to take stock of the past fiscal year, while taking a look at what awaits us until March 2023. It is now the turn of Capcom to reveal its latest figures, and as in previous years, the Japanese publisher continues to reap more and more profits, driven by strong titles such as Resident Evil Village.

What are the publisher’s next titles?

The latest title in the saga now has more than 6.1 million sales since its launch, i.e. 400,000 more in one quarter. The publisher also announces that Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin passed the milestone of 1.5 million copies sold. Throughout the fiscal year, Capcom then claims to have sold more than 32.6 million gameswhich is a record for the publisher.

But he already plans to do better as of next year, declaring that it wants to sell 37 million games in all. To achieve this, he can already rely on Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreakbut also on PS5 and Xbox Series ports of recent resident Evil. But the publisher also indicates that it plans to release “multiple major titles” by March 2023without indicating which ones.

We can then think of street fighter 6even if the progress of its development is still unknown, or Exoprimal, announced recently. And go, maybe to a Dragon’s Dogma 2who knows ?
