In a year, a video game publishing studio generally releases several productions, but they all have to be successful. To get an overview of trends, Metacritic carried out every year classification of the best video game publishersthe 2023 winner is Japanese.
Capcom is indeed elected best publisher of the year 2023 with a Metascore average of 84.5/100, notably obtained thanks to Resident Evil 4 Remake, Street Fighter 6 And Ghost Trick: Phantom Detectivethe very average Exoprimal did not weigh down the Japanese studio’s rating too much. Capcom succeeds Sony, Microsoft, SEGA And 505 Gamesit had already had this recognition in 2019. Regarding the other studios in the ranking, here is the Top 10, with their best game of 2023:

Metacritic explains that, to achieve this ranking, he uses a system of points, awarded according to the Metascore of all games released in the year, games with good reviews (at least 75/100), games with an excellent rating (at least 90/100) and games with bad reviews (49/100 or less ).
