Capelli signs a 15-year lease with Habyt for 82 coliving units

(Boursier.com) — As part of the development of the South Village project in Howald, a real estate complex located south of Luxembourg City consisting of housing, office and commercial space, catering, coworking and coliving, Capelli and Habyt have just signed a 15-year lease in the future state of completion (BEFA) for 82 coliving units.

This lease signed with the Capelli Group is a first step for Habyt in the context of its establishment in Luxembourg. The coliving units will be intended for a young, active and nomadic population. They will respond both to a strong problem of lack of housing in the Grand Duchy (and especially one- and two-bedroom apartments) and to an increasingly marked desire to live in shared spaces (kitchen, living room, terrace, …) and which also offer shared and on-demand services.

Habyt chose this Capelli program for the quality of the South Village project located in Howald, a Luxembourg district undergoing redevelopment in the immediate vicinity of the Cloche d’Or business center, a future triple A location.

Habyt, headquartered in Berlin, has been the leader in co-living in major European cities since 2017 (Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Lisbon, etc.) and also has a presence in Asia. Last January, he partnered with Common, the main co-living operator in North America, to create a world leader in this field. With locations in more than 40 cities and 14 countries, across three continents, the combination of the two operators operates more than 30,000 units, including co-living, studios and traditional rental apartments.

“This signature with a world-class operator in the field of co-living is an important step in the timetable for the realization of our South Village program. We were among the first French promoters to believe in and develop this new way of living in the city. We are convinced that this first collaboration with Habyt will be followed by many others”, comments Christophe Capelli, Chairman and CEO of Capelli.
