Capgemini plans to continue growing in 2022 after a record 2021 financial year


PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The digital services group Capgemini intends to maintain sustained growth in 2022 with profitability that could improve further, after recording record results in 2021.

The company announced on Monday that it is aiming for revenue growth at constant exchange rates of between 8% and 10% in 2022, with an operating margin of between 12.9% and 13.1% and free cash generation. – expected organic flow above 1.7 billion euros.

“The variations in scope should represent 1 point of growth at the bottom of the target range and 2 points at the top of the range,” the company said in a press release.

In 2021, the group’s turnover amounted to 18.16 billion euros, up 14.6% in published data compared to the 2020 financial year. At constant exchange rates, growth was reached 15.1%, and 10.2% on an organic basis. The operating margin stood at 2.34 billion euros, representing 12.9% of sales. It was up 1 basis point compared to 2020.

The group was aiming for growth in its turnover at constant exchange rates of between 14.5% and 15% and an operating margin rate of more than 12.7%.

Net income, group share, reached 1.16 billion euros, compared to 957 million euros in 2020.

The generation of organic free cash flow amounted to 1.87 billion euros, an increase of 754 million euros compared to 2020, exceeding the threshold, raised twice during the year, of 1 .7 billion euros targeted for 2021.

“Capgemini achieved a remarkable performance in 2021 in terms of growth, profitability and cash generation,” commented Aiman ​​Ezzat, the group’s chief executive, quoted in a press release.

According to a consensus established by FactSet, analysts on average expected a net profit of 1.12 billion euros, an operating margin of 2.23 billion euros and a turnover of 18.12 billion euros. euros.

In terms of distribution to shareholders, the group indicated that its board of directors had decided to propose to the general meeting of May 19, 2022 the payment of a dividend of 2.40 euros per share.
