Jeffrey S. * (51) was one of the most brutal among the Capitol strikers. The Colorado geophysicist and other Trump supporters dragged a police officer down the stairs of the US government building on January 6th. Videos show him down, baton in hand.
S. is one of currently more than 400 people who are being investigated after the Capitol storm. He is currently in custody – there is a risk of escape. He almost got away from the police – three days after the scenes at the Capitol, S. wanted to run off to Switzerland.

He thought Switzerland would not extradite him
He had previously traveled back to Colorado from Washington. There he had destroyed all electronic devices in the microwave. He took his firearms away to an acquaintance, according to the court files that the «Sunday newspaper»Are available.
Then he travels to Boston, where he wants to board the plane to Zurich. He believes Switzerland will not extradite him to the United States. He later told investigators that he wanted to go skiing in the mountains so that the project would look more natural.
At the airport, however, he has the impression that the police there are talking about him. He escapes, rents a car and heads south. Fearing the FBI, he throws his cell phone out of the window into a river on a bridge.
Police officers just “patted”
A police patrol from New York found Jeffrey S. the next day. The officers were looking for the rental car, it was noticed by an uncontrolled driving style. You find the Capitol Striker covered in blood. He said he wanted to kill himself: “I’m tired, I’m tired of fighting, I’m wanted by the FBI.” His ticket to Switzerland was still in the car
In the interrogations, Jeffrey S. stated that he did not want to injure the police officer at the Capitol. He tried much more to protect him from the rioting. He only “patted him on the back” with the baton.
The trial is still pending. The presumption of innocence applies to Trump supporters. Jeffrey S. has to stay behind bars until the trial. (hah)
