A pant model that has disappeared from the past is finally making a comeback: the denim-look Capri pants are the perfect holiday companion.
In the 1950s, they were an absolute must-have in every fashion-conscious woman’s wardrobe: now the Capri pants are back, or more precisely in a denim look. The three-quarter-length jeans are one of the hottest trend pieces for the coming summer months: Not too short and not too long, they ideally cover the legs. Ever since style icon Audrey Hepburn, 63 †, one thing has been clear: Capri pants have their very own charm! “Sex and the City” star Sarah Jessica Parker, 58, also knows this, and she still wears longer summer pants today. The actress has embraced the trend, knowing it’s not some dull 1950s relic. Instead, she is one of the fashion pioneers!

And, as everything comes back, fortunately also the slightly shortened jeans. But what is so special about the model that is so on the rise? It’s very simple: it’s the ideal length and lets a gentle breeze touch your skin, but also protects you from too much sun exposure. Best of all: the pants come in different styles. Whether wide or narrow cut, the main thing is that the fabric reaches over the knees and to about the middle of the calf.

The history of the origin of the Capri trousers
Incidentally, the inventor of the Capri pants is the German fashion designer Sonja de Lennart, 102. Her favorite travel destination in the 1950s was the Italian island of Capri. She therefore created her Capri Collection with a Capri skirt, Capri blouse, Capri belt, Capri hat and Capri pants. The latter came about when, on a walk on the beach in Italy, she cut her trouser legs three-quarters length so that the trouser legs would not get wet.
