Fans of the Marvel universe could be surprised by a major revelation regarding Captain America 4, thanks to a leak of a… LEGO set. So, anything is possible.
It seems that this has become a habit: a new LEGO set has apparently revealed in advance upcoming content for Disney, here concerning the Marvel universe and more specifically the highly anticipated next film Captain America 4 Brave New World. The leak seems to involve an upcoming opponent of the superhero, an element always highly scrutinized within the MCU. A very sensitive subject, it must be admitted.
LEGO still does everything leak
A recent leak of a LEGO set has piqued the interest of Marvel fans, hinting that Red Hulk could appear in the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World film. The set would also include new characters like the new Falcon, Joaquin Torres, and Israeli mutant superhero Ruth Bat-Seraph (Sabra).
LEGO sets have often been a source of spoilers for Disney films. For example, the appearance of Hera’s son Jacen was revealed in a LEGO set long before the Ahsoka series began. This time, the Captain America: Brave New World LEGO set seems to confirm the presence of Red Hulk. An element that could pave the way for a future Hulk film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
A very sensitive subject and a very red villain
There is some controversy surrounding the character Sabra, who is often portrayed in an insensitive manner towards Palestinians in comic books. Marvel Studios appears to be looking to reinvent the character to suit a modern audience. It remains to be seen (given the context) how this will be received by spectators. A subject which divides and which risks being controversial. At the same time, it is difficult to modify the character too much knowing that his nationality and his work for the Mossad are an integral part of his identity. This would be like stripping Iron Man of his billionaire playboy status, which would no longer make much sense for the character’s identity.
Red Hulk’s appearance in a Captain America movie is intriguing. Especially since the announcement that Harrison Ford would take over the role of Thunderbolt Ross following the death of William Hurt. Fans are speculating that Captain America: Brave New World could be the movie where Ross transforms into the Red Hulk, like in the comics. But given the age of the actor and his character, it is hard to imagine him wanting to play the role for several films.
