Even safes were broken into by the gang in hopes of looting: “I was on vacation in Lisbon. When I came back, I noticed that the patio door had broken open,” says a victim in an interview with “Steirerkrone”. The man knew immediately that his home had been broken into. “I went up to the bedroom and saw that the safe and its contents were just gone! Nothing else has disappeared, and the perpetrators didn’t attack anything else either.”
