Car driver drove on – hit and run after an accident with a motorcycle in Graz

After an accident involving a hit-and-run in the Puntigam district of Graz, the police are looking for witnesses: An unknown driver crashed into a motorcyclist on Sunday afternoon. The 59-year-old fell in the collision and had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car just kept driving.

The 59-year-old rode her motorcycle north on Rudersdorfer Strasse around 5:10 p.m. At the intersection with Puntigamer Strasse, she stopped at the traffic light because of a red light. When the traffic light turned green, the motorcyclist turned right onto Puntigamer Strasse. At this point, the unknown vehicle driver drove a white car from Puchstrasse at apparently excessive speed onto Puntigamer Strasse in the direction of Liebenau. Police are looking for witnesses According to the 59-year-old, the two vehicles crashed together, causing her to fall. The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to the LKH Graz by the rescue service and admitted to hospital there. The white car drove away without stopping.
