A 23-year-old motorcyclist collided head-on with an oncoming car on Friday at noon on the Dürrnberg Landesstraße coming from Hallein in the direction of Bad Dürrnberg and was seriously injured.
According to the police, the 38-year-old driver wanted to turn left at walking pace and overlooked the motorcycle. The 23-year-old was brought by the rescue helicopter to the accident hospital in Salzburg, and an alcohol test showed the car driver had a blood alcohol level of 0.36.
