(AOF) – Carbios announces that it has signed an agreement with the German group Landbell for the development and implementation of solutions for the sorting, preparation and enzymatic recycling of post-consumer PET plastic waste. This involves significantly increasing the recycling of PET from packaging and textile waste. This partnership will provide 15 kilotons per year of prepared PET, bringing the supply identified for the first Carbios factory to 70%.
Landbell Group is the operator of more than 40 producer responsibility organizations (PROs) and a leading provider of closed-loop recycling solutions. The signed memorandum of intent targets the supply, preparation and recycling of post-consumer PET waste using Carbios’ biorecycling technology in its first commercial plant in Longlaville (Meurthe-et-Moselle) from 2026. Carbios announced the construction of this site in mid-February.
