Cargo pants: is this the successor to skinny jeans?

Those who prefer long trousers in summer should have a model in their closet: cargo pants. Stars are excited about their comeback.

Skinny jeans have dominated the fashion world for years. If you don't want to risk anything when styling, you usually go for the simple models with narrow legs. However, this could now be the end. Because after bell bottoms and culottes, another trend is emerging that could provide a fashionable change: the cargo pants are back.

Once developed for military use in the Second World War, cargo pants have recently been used primarily in skilled trades. The reason: Due to the large, patch or sewn-in pockets, the models offer practical storage space. Fashion designer Michael Michalsky (53) is excited about the return of cargo pants. In an interview with the news agency spot on news, he recently said: "Mouthguards and desi (disinfectants, editor's note) fit in, it looks cool and radiates energy."

Summery combination with crop top

Stars like Kim Kardashian (39) or Billie Eilish (18, "Bad Guy") have long since discovered the trend for themselves. While the former generally uses skin-tight models, which they usually also combine with body-hugging tops, Eilish prefers looser versions. Basically, both are possible. However, if you don't want to go under in wide-cut cargo pants, you should make sure to wear a figure-hugging top. For summer, crop tops are an ideal solution to give the look a certain sophistication.
