Carl Philip and Sofia of Sweden have released a new family photo. The princess’s growing baby bump can be seen on it.

Sweden celebrates the Lucia Festival this Sunday (December 13th). The atmospheric festival of lights is named after Saint Lucia and originally lit up the shortest day of the year. On this solemn day, Carl Philip of Sweden (41) and his wife Princess Sofia (36) also want to wish the Swedes a happy holiday. The couple has published a new family photo in which they pose with their sons Prince Alexander (4) and Prince Gabriel (3) in a Christmas atmosphere. In a YouTube video, the family also lets the three candles on their Advent wreath light up together in their home in the Stockholm district of Djurgården.

"A happy third Advent and a happy Lucia Festival!" Wish the Swedish royals in their Instagram post. They also thank you for the "congratulations on our new family". In the picture you can see the clearly curved belly of Princess Sofia. A few days ago, the couple announced that they were expecting their third child. According to the royal family's announcement, Princess Sofia is doing well and the birth is expected in March or April 2021. Sofia and Philip have been married since 2015. Their first son Alexander was born in 2016, followed by his little brother Gabriel in 2017.
