Crazy Love. Since 2007, Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni live a beautiful love story. A meeting that took place during a dinner in 2007, at the home of mutual friends. And yet, all was not won between the two. Indeed, initially, the interpreter of Someone told me didn’t want to have dinner with a “right-wing president”. But love at first sight strikes immediately between the two future lovers. They chat all evening, until two in the morning. Before leaving the evening, Carla Bruni gives her telephone number to Nicolas Sarkozy. The former model had to be patient, because the politician did not call her back until late in the day the next day, as she told Europe 1 in August 2022. “Maybe I was hoping for something. We had to see, we had to wait. He still only called me back at 4 p.m. the next day. I’m still mad at him. He’s still paying!”she explained.
A beautiful tribute
Carried by this beautiful love story, Carla Bruni and Nicolas Sarkozy welcomed a little girl, who celebrated her 12th birthday on October 19, 2023. And their story doesn’t seem to end anytime soon.. Carla Bruni is always by his side, in good times and in bad times. On September 30, 2021, she posted a photo in his arms after he was sentenced to one year in prison for the illegal financing of his 2012 presidential campaign, in the Bygmalion affair. A conviction which he appealed. But on Sunday January 28, 2024, it was for a much more joyful reason that she paid tribute to him on her Instagram account. Carla Bruni posted several photos of Nicolas Sarkozy, which she accompanied with the following caption: “Happy Birthday my love“, written in three languages, French, Italian and English. Love is a universal language, and Internet users will not say the opposite. Many of them celebrated a wonderful birthday for the former President of the Republic: “Happy birthday Mr President. We miss you so much…”, “Happy birthday to the best President”, “Happy birthday Mr President Nicolas Sarkozy”.
