Carla Bruni, her sister Valeria and her mother Marisa: the charming trio gathered at the Cannes Film Festival!

The Cannes International Film Festival is an opportunity to celebrate the seventh art, of course. But the event, which opened its 75th edition on Tuesday May 17, 2022, also allows some to have a nice time with the family. This is precisely the case of filmmaker Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, who came to present her new dramatic comedy The Almond Trees at the Palais des Festivals on May 22. Smiling on the red carpet, the director was surrounded by the film crew, of course, including Suzanne Lindon – recently seen in the series In Therapyon Arte -, Léna Garrel, Sarah Henochsberg, Sofiane Bennacer, Clara Bretheau, Noham Edje, Micha Lescot, Louis Garrel, Liv Henneguier… but not only.

To support Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi on the side of the Cannes Film Festival, her mother and her sister naturally made the trip to the Côte-d’Azur. The two Italian beauties even walked the famous red carpet against the crackling flashes. In an elegant chocolate-hued Saint Laurent dress, Carla Bruni Sarkozy mesmerized the crowds before taking it all in the screening room. His mother, Marisa Borini, had opted for a lovely country outfit, with light fabric decorated with floral motifs. What better opportunity to take some family photos than the most prestigious of all festivals?

This is a very important moment for Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, who collaborated for this feature film with the brilliant Noémie Lvovsky. The film The Almond Trees is presented in competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2022 and the public will discover, together with all those who worked on this project, if it will win an award during the closing ceremony scheduled for Saturday May 28, 2022. The Almond Trees tells the story of a troupe of actors who pass the entrance examination for the famous Amandiers theater school, located in Nanterre. Something to bring back fond memories for all the actors gathered that evening at the Palais des Festivals…
