PARIS, September 15 (Reuters) – Carmat confirmed in a press release on Thursday that it is preparing to resume implanting its Aeson artificial heart in October, subject to obtaining the necessary authorizations.

The French company is counting on “strong demand” and “sustained dynamics of post-recovery establishments”.

Carmat had proceeded to a “voluntary, temporary” suspension of implantations last December due to quality problems on some of its medical devices and claims to have produced “new prostheses incorporating the modifications intended to avoid the quality problems incurred by the past” to meet demand after the resumption of settlements.
