This Saturday, May 21, 2022, Caroline Costa will play in the final of The Voice against the four other candidates still in the running, namely Vike, Mister Mat, Loris and Nour. This is undoubtedly like an air of deja vu for the young singer of 26 years. And for good reason, several years ago, she was already in the final of another successful show: Amazing talent. It was in 2008, Caroline Costa was then 11 years old and won second place in the competition. Despite her defeat, she later had the opportunity to release her first album, titled I will go. And in 2012, at the age of 15, Caroline Costa was talking about her again in joining the musical Robin Hood, alongside M.Pokora. She plays Bédélia, who fell in love with Robin’s son, Adrien (played by Sacha Tran). After numerous performances at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, she began a tour with the troupe throughout France as well as in Belgium and Switzerland.
Great opportunities for the teenager that she was, which unfortunately led to her being lynched. Indeed, during an interview for TVMag, the newly single mother of Talia (3 years old) explained that she had been the victim of the jealousy of her classmates. “At school, it was mixed… Some of the students were proud to have a friend who was on TV. But for others, I was the person to take down. I went through a period of bullying at school. It was tripping, shoving, little spitting, and girls waiting outside school to hit me“, she remembered for our colleagues.
A complicated period that pushed Caroline to put an end to her schooling. “It ended quickly because I stopped my schooling quite early. The two months in the second class, it was the worst. I was as discreet as possible, I didn’t make waves, and I suffered malicious remarks“, she confided.
Fortunately, Caroline Costa has always been able to count on her united family not to sink or to take the big head. “I was so well surrounded, in a healthy context, that I never had the melon. I have values. My parents instilled in me a modest life, and they have always been close to me“, can she rejoice.
