Caroline Receveur: this way in which she announced her cancer to her son: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

Tuesday July 25, 2023, Caroline Receveur spoke on her Instagram account to announce sad news. For several months, she has been fighting against breast cancer in the greatest of secrets. She unveiled a series of moving videos in which she films herself natural and crying during her treatment sessions. Following this, Caroline Receveur had received a wave of love and support. She then chose to reveal the progress of her fight on social networks, in particular to raise awareness among her subscribers of this disease which affects a lot of fans. Caroline Receveur therefore does not hesitate to share on social networks the different stages of her treatment, composed of good and less good news. Unfortunately, while the influencer thought she was moving towards the positive, she learned on November 23, 2023 that doctors had discovered “micro cancer cells” as she announced on her Instagram account: “I told you that I still had some test results to get… During the mastectomy they remove all the tissue from the breast, including the tumor, and they analyze it. And there are a few microscopic cancer cells left. The doctors don’t want to take any risks (because I’m young and obviously there is a risk of recurrence), my oncologist warned me that if there were any small cells left, I would have to add a little bit of chemo to my immunotherapy.

Caroline Receveur: “I told him ‘it’s going to be cool, I’m going to look like Kylian Mbappé’”

Very open on the subject on her social networks, Caroline Receveur has been much more discreet in the media. Friday March 22, 2024, she was a guest on Léna Situations’ podcast, Six Seater Sofa. In the interview, Hugo Philip’s partner notably revealed the reasons why she had declined all interview requests: “I didn’t want to ride the cancer wave. Even though the disease is part of my life, I don’t want to come back with that to be seen.” In the rest of the interview, Caroline Receveur revealed how she had announced to her son Marlon, aged 5 years old. “I told him pretty quickly. I didn’t use the word ‘cancer’, ‘disease’, ‘death’ or anything. I explained it to him in simple words. He heard discussions […] I felt like he was upset that he didn’t understand. And so one day, relaxing […] I told him: ‘Listen Pims, mom has a little lump in her breast, there, she’s going to have a little box installed like that, the doctors put medicine in it and the little lump we get rid of. And then mom is in great health. The only thing is she’s going to lose her hair…'” she explains. “I told him ‘this is going to be cool, I’m going to look like Kylian Mbappé‘”, she quipped. “And then I took him to Pinterest and showed him all the pictures of shaved, super pretty girls.” Very touched, Caroline Receveur added that it had “very close, even though we were already close before. He gave me so much”. Touching.
