Dirt nests that are repugnant to many, rugs and carpets are often forgotten during cleaning sessions. It is indeed not easy to clean them thoroughly, unless you have recourse to a professional or by arming yourself with patience and a good brush. Tineco is remedying this with the Carpet One.

Equipped with a large rotating brush with bristles, the device washes rugs and carpets by spraying clean water on the floor, while collecting waste water, thanks to two 800 ml tanks (clear water). HeatedWash technology heats clean water to improve cleaning. To improve washing performance, it is also possible to add a detergent, supplied by the manufacturer.

@Tineco

To complete the cleaning, Tineco has equipped its device with an additional feature. After washing the rug or carpet, the user can decide to activate the drying mode. The device then expels hot air continuously, which can reach 75°C. The manufacturer claims to reduce the drying time of the surface to less than 30 minutes.

Getting started with the Carpet One seems very simple: only two controls are provided by Tineco. A classic start button is accompanied by a command to change the operating mode. The user only has to activate it to switch from washing to drying. Without any other control, it is therefore impossible to adjust the suction intensity or the water flow. Don’t panic, Tineco wanted its “intelligent” Carpet One. In fact, a technology specific to the manufacturer detects the presence of dirt and automatically adjusts the suction power, as well as the water flow. A luminous ring then lights up from blue to red depending on the level of impurities contained in the carpet.

@Tineco

A screen, largely referring to that of the Tineco Floor One S5, is responsible for giving several indications (humidity level of the cleaned surface, remaining water level or even condition of the brush).

Finally, a hand brush comes with the device and is intended for cleaning upholstery, such as sofas or curtains.

The Carpet One seems, at first glance, to have many advantages. The grip could however make us disillusioned. Aspects such as the autonomy of the tank, the size of the device or its weight could discourage more than one. Either way, the floor cleaner is available for pre-sale for €499.
