Since January 1, 2023, motorists who decide to share their journeys this year can receive a carpooling bonus of up to 100 euros. How it works ?
This year, the government is banking on carpooling. With energy issues, the increase in the cost of petrol and diesel, but also a desire to reduce pollution linked to travel, the State has decided to give a boost to all those who will start carpooling in 2023. To benefit from the bonus worth 100 euros, “paid to the user in the form of money or a voucher”, it is however essential to register on one of the platforms listed on the ministry’s website. For the best known, we find BlaBlaCar Daily, Covoit’ici, Coopgo or OnCovoit’. The government has partnered with no less than 18 carpooling operatorswhich leaves a wide choice to users.
Be careful however, this financial aid is only for new registrants. You must not have already made a trip as a driver on one of the carpooling platforms. For daily journeys (less than 80 kilometres), 25 € will be paid after the first carpool And the remaining €75 on the 10th journeyprovided that they have been carried out in three months after registration. Longer distances, which represent a very large majority of journeys, are also encouraged: another bonus of €100, which can be combined, will be paid to new registrants who have made three journeys.

These other solutions offered to non-eligible users
If you regularly carpool with colleagues or friends without going through a platform, or if you are already registered on one of them, it is still possible to be accompanied. Firstly, some local aids are offered and listed on this map. Your local town hall can help you with this. In addition, it is also possible that your home-work journeys are supported by your employer as part of the sustainable mobility package (FMD) for employees.
