Carrefour: Adjusted EPS up 12% in 2023


(CercleFinance.com) – Carrefour publishes a turnover of 94.13 billion euros for the 2023 financial year, a figure up 10.4% on a comparable basis compared to the previous financial year.

Current operating profit stood at 2.26 billion euros, down 4.7%, with a slightly reduced current operating margin, going from 2.9% in 2022 to 2.7% in 2023.

Carrefour nevertheless publishes a net profit group share of 1,659 ME, up 23.1% compared to 2022 (1,348 ME).

In adjusted data, the group’s share of net income stands at 1,304 ME (+7.6%), or an adjusted EPS of 1.83 euros (+12%).

The ordinary dividend proposed for the 2023 financial year thus amounts to 0.87 euros per share, up +55% compared to 0.56 euros in 2022.

‘In 2023, Carrefour confirms the solidity of its model, in a context of high inflation in Europe, and continues to improve its economic performance,’ commented Alexandre Bompard, CEO.

According to him, ‘Carrefour approaches this new year with confidence, and continues its trajectory towards the objectives set for 2026’.
