Carrefour falls, traders discuss information on a record fine from Bercy


LONDON, June 18 (Reuters) – Carrefour fell on the Paris Stock Exchange on Tuesday, by far the biggest drop in the CAC 40, with traders citing information from “La Lettre” according to which Bercy is demanding a record fine of 200 million euros against the distribution group for the management of its franchise network.

At 7:45 a.m. GMT, Carrefour shares lost 7.59% to 13.43 euros, their biggest drop in session since March 2020, while the CAC 40 gained 0.46% at the same time.
