(Boursier.com) — Historical partner of Food Bank collections since 1995, Crossroads is present again this year at this major civic event and will host the collection in more than 1,200 stores from November 24 to 26, 2023.
Through this mobilization and the commitment of its teams, the brand wishes to recall the importance of the values of solidarity and sharing, while the most deprived are increasingly faced with precariousness during this period…

In order to strengthen its support for the Food Bank branches, the brand is also offering to collect an offer of shared products during these 3 days:
*20 cents for the purchase of a pack of 12 Carrefour Classic Natural Yogurt;
*1 product given for the purchase of 2 references from the bluebox 1kg range of the Barilla brand;
*50 cents for the purchase of 2 St Morêt products;
*1 Bonduelle can for the purchase of three Bonduelle products (canned or frozen range);
*For the purchase of 12 Socopa hamburger steaks – 2 free frozen steaks;
*For the purchase of a box of 20 “From our villages” eggs: 2 free eggs.

Activities, such as the sale of solidarity baskets, will supplement the donations.

“In 2023, even more than in previous years, food bank collections are crucial to help fight against food insecurity. Food banks can count on Carrefour to deploy the widest possible system, among our customers and our employees, in stores, in warehouses and at headquarters, to make this 39th collection a success of mobilization and generosity.” Carine Kraus, Director of Engagement of the Carrefour Group.

Carrefour: daily partner of Food Banks

Beyond the collection, which makes it possible to collect 10% of the products distributed each year by the Food Banks, Carrefour supports the association throughout the year through two main lines of action:
-the donation of foodstuffs from warehouses and store collections. In total, with collections, 6,769 tonnes of products were collected in 2022, the equivalent of more than 13.5 million meals
-financial grants through its Foundation, which make it possible to encourage better eating among vulnerable populations by financing training in healthy eating, such as the “Bons Gestes et Bonne Assiette” program.

“Our employees also remain engaged alongside the Food Banks on a daily basis: 80 of them participate in particular, alongside other volunteers from the association, in the Carrefour skills sponsorship program” concludes the group.
