(Boursier.com) — Crossroads fell by 8.5% to 13.3 euros at the start of the session, dragging Casino in its wake (-7%). This sudden drop is linked to information from La Lettre published Monday evening. According to the latter, the Ministry of Finance would request “the imposition of a civil fine in the amount of 200 million euros” against the distributor for “abusive practices committed by the latter to the detriment of its franchisees and managing tenants”. Bercy would demand the modification of the clauses which, according to him, lead to a “significant imbalance” between Carrefour and its franchisees, to the benefit of the brand. In December 2023, the Carrefour Franchise Association filed a collective complaint with the Rennes commercial court for contractual violations and abusive practices against the distribution giant.
